The dark mode is a new color theme joining the classic GitHub light mode developers have been using for years. It is exciting for developers that dark mode has (finally) arrived in a public beta.
During the public beta, dark mode is available to all GitHub users without the need to sign up or join a waitlist. To select your preferred theme, simply navigate to your profile settings, click on the new “Appearance” tab, and choose between matching your system preferences, dark and light modes.
